How to Download a YouTube Thumbnail

Five steps, no software, no account.

   Find the video

   Open the YouTube video, Short, or livestream whose thumbnail you want.

   Copy the URL

   Tap Share, or copy the link straight from your browser's address bar.

   Paste it into the downloader

   Drop the link into the box on the homepage — a valid link is detected automatically.

   Review the available sizes

   Only resolutions that genuinely exist for that video are shown, largest first.

   Download

   Tap Download on the size you want, or use Download All to grab every available size.

On iPhone

If tapping Download opens the image in a new tab instead of saving it, press and hold the image and choose "Save to Photos" from the menu that appears.

On Android

Most Android browsers save the image straight to your Downloads folder when you tap Download. If nothing happens, press and hold the preview image and choose "Download image."
